I am Cassie Cisco from Lakewood, Ohio. I am a first year at The Ohio State University. I inted on majoring in Health Science with a Pre-OT track. I am a student in the Health Sciences Scholars program. My goals are to eventually complete my Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and ideally work with children in either a school or a hospital setting. This field of work interests me because I have grown up going to Occupational Therapy sessions for my younger brother. Seeing him grow and learn from these sessions inspires me to help other children who could also benefit from OT. I am very interested in minoring in either Dissability studies or Criminology. These subjects have always piqued my curiosity and I would like to explore those subjects more. I am very interested in the Psychology, Anatomy, and Physiology classes. I enjoy learning about the human body and how it works because it is so complex, along with the human mind. I think it is truly fascinating how we think and what we think about. The human body and mind, to me, is a very complex puzzle that I want to try and piece together through my research. I am unique because I have been around OT, PT, and Speech Therapy for the majority of my life for my younger brother who has a developmental delay. I have learned a lot from this part of my life and I believe it has inspired my career path.
