Stephie Choe is a first-year undergraduate student at Ohio State University pursuing a major in Health Information Management and Systems under the College of Health Rehabilitation Sciences and intends to minor in Business. Over the course of her first semester, Stephie has taken the initiative to get involved by joining various student organizations. She is the Treasurer of Japan 2 Korea (J2K), an intercultural dance organization, a member of the Pan-Asisn Mental Wellness Association (PMWA) and a member of the Korean Student Association (KSA). When not in class, Stephie works as a Student Associate for theEnglish as a Second Language Program Coordinator. In addition, she is an Advocates for Community and Education Scholar within the University Honors & Scholars Center.
During her undergraduate career, she hopes to join Pen Pals in North Korea (PPiNK) and help utilize her ethnic roots to provide comfort and support towards those facing detrimental adversities.
Looking towards the future, Stephie hopes to work in the health administrative end of her degree and share her passion for healthcare equity and mental health with the colleagues she works with. Her goal is to work with both the individuals that have been oppressed by the healthcare system and with those who can make a definitive change in the system.
