Artifacts

My artifact is an event Mount volunteered for this past weekend: Smith Farms. Dedicating most of my Saturday to helping put on a fall festival was a great way to show my goals and achievements here at Ohio State so far. I felt like so far this year we haven’t really done a lot of service, but Saturday felt really rewarding. Although it was a long day, it was an amazing experience and I hope to do it again next year. Taking the whole day to come off campus and meet tons and tons of people really reminded me of the service I did in high school and my desire to continue that drive through college. I can’t wait until my service career takes off here at Ohio State and I am so excited that Mount is helping me get involved.

About Me

Hanna Chodzin is a freshman at The Ohio State University and this will be her first year in Mount Leadership. She is from Lakewood, OH a suburb 10 minutes from Cleveland and has attended Lakewood City Schools her entire life. As a first year student, she is super excited to start getting to know her peers and become familiar with the campus. Hanna is currently a Psychology major but is considering other options for a career path that aren’t as broad but still have to do with human behavior as that is something that has always interested her. Volunteering and service are also very important in Hanna’s life thanks to the service club she was in all throughout high school and middle school. Her experiences through service have influenced her to continue to be involved in her community, whether in Lakewood or Columbus. Hanna also worked part time during junior and senior year, while also participating in the gymnastics team, ballet, and kick-line for the marching band. She plans to continue her involvement with activities, service, and sports at tOSU and is so eager to begin her student career!
