G.O.A.L.S.

Global Awareness: Throughout my time here at Ohio State both locally and abroad through both serving the populace in Columbus and abroad through global engagement service studies. In high school, I committed myself to the service and betterment of others in the local community and in foreign places, such  as Guatemala. I will take what I have learned from these places and continue to aspire to be the best person I can be.

Original Inquiry: Diligence has always been an essential attribute that I have embodied. My commitment to furthering my educational attainment has always been of the utmost importance. Through reading the different research that OSU’s acclaimed researchers have developed I will become educated on new and innovative ideas.

Academic Enrichment: In order to attain the highest value from education honors students here at The Ohio State University are expected to go above and beyond normal expectations and extend their education in a multidisciplinary world. In order to do this, I will integrate three remote fields, Philosophy, economics and neuroscience in order to become the best citizen I can be. Through these fields I will be fiscally responsible enough to truly help people in a way that is most beneficent to mankind, in a way that is not only practical but achievable.
Leadership Development: Being a leader in today’s world is necessary in order for one to attain their career aspirations. Being a leader not only entails that one is open to new interaction but that one is open to new experience. I have always been willing to engage with as many people as I can and I love to hear the new stories that people bring. Every human is unique, and through attaining positions in different organizations, I will refine my ability to highlight the characteristics in different people in order to help them to be the best that they can be.
Service Engagement: Through joining different clubs at Ohio State, I will learned of the different service opportunities that can be engaged in. Playing an active role in Alpha Phi Omega, a service organization, and in College Mentors for Kids, I will truly be able to grow and encourage development in the community of the columbus area. More importantly, I will gain the necessary skills in order to propagate future service involvement and be able to become a citizen ready to combat the major problems that consistently plague the community.
