Hyunyi Cho (PhD, Michigan State University) is a Professor in the School of Communication at the Ohio State University. Her research has engaged a broad range of theories and methods, focusing on the examination of issues concerning health and risk. Current research interests span media effects and media literacy to communication about race and culture. The goal of this research program is to ascertain the role of communication in individual and social change processes. This research has appeared in journals including Communication Monographs, Communication Research, Journal of Communication, Social Science Computer Review, and International Journal of Public Opinion Research. She has edited two volumes including SAGE Handbook of Risk Communication and Health Communication Message Design: Theory and Practice.
