About Me

Hi, my name is Erin Chirumbole and I am from freehold, New Jersey. I am a first year student at Ohio State and I am a member of the Advocates for Communities and Education Scholars Program. This program has given me the opportunity to give back to the community in so many ways through service. I am proud to be a member of ACES and be able to contribute to the food pantry we have set up on campus.

I am currently studying Early Childhood Education. Ever since I was little I have wanted to become teacher. For the past couple of summers I have volunteered at a soccer camp, which has allowed me to work with children of all ages ranging from 3 to 13 years old. It is the perfect combination of what I love: soccer and working with children. I am currently part of the OSU Pen Pals club and it warms my heart to know that I can make a difference in a child’s life. I am also a member of the Ohio Student Education Association where I am learning so much about my future career. This summer I have a job as a counselor at a summer camp where I will be in charge of children ages 7 to 15. I am excited to gain more experience working with children and continue to grow as a future educator.
