♦ The first job result of me is design manager, which has an average salary of $81,359. It is a job which can work in different fields, usually work with buyers in the selection process, regardless of the industry, and organize, maintain and change design as needed. The second job is the senior buyer, which is responsible for negotiating long-term and short-term transactions with vendors. The position is planned and incorporated into the company-wide strategic procurement plan, and also responsible for collecting and collecting data on potential suppliers and carriers.

♦ Both jobs require computer skills, such as Microsoft programs, and must have good written and oral communication skills. They all need the ability to assign tasks reasonably. For example, designers sometimes need to work with other teams, so assignment of tasks becomes very important. Senior buyers need to communicate well with customers and bosses. The difference is that design manager is more focused on software, that they must have a solid knowledge of designs programs and standards within their industries, while senior buyers are more focused on negotiation and communication. However, when supervising design teams, design manager still responsible for recruitment processes, training, and any performance evaluation that needs to be addressed, and they often lead other design teams to ensure the smooth operation of a given project.

♦ Among the two jobs, I think design manager is a better choice for me since I think I will like this job, although it requires me to design a lot of staff and may need me to work overtime on holidays. However, it will give me a high salary and a good Health Benefits. According to the report, an entry-level Design Manager with less than 1-year experience can expect to earn an average total compensation of $60,362, which made it easy for me to get an ideal income when I first entered the industry. More importantly, this job is in line with my major. I believe that my major will make me play a better role in this job. I can learn a lot of professional knowledge needed in my work through my major, such as some knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering. However, a job is not just about professional knowledge, but more extensive. According to the report, some companies will accept substantial work experience in place of a specialized degree. I will gradually accumulate experience in my work and complete better works. And experience will make me know more vendors, meet more vendors can help maximize revenue opportunities.

♦ For job, I think the level of salary is more important than satisfaction, because satisfaction decides whether I am happy at work, but salary decides whether I can alive or not. What need to think more is about whether I can support myself and my family. Therefore, I care more about whether my work can give me more money than happiness. Fortunately, I’m satisfied with the job of design manager in every way, except it need me to work during the holidays, and I really hope I can find such a job after graduation.
