I am Yanyu Chen, you can call me Rebecca, this is my English name. I don’t know  why, but my English teacher in junior high school asked each of us to  have an English name. There is something about me that I want you to know. First of all, I am from a beautiful country, China.

I am from Henan, Zhengzhou. The city I live in has a nice name called Green-town because it is shaded by trees and green hills are on the side.

My hobby is traveling. I really have a lot of enthusiasm for travel and photography, and travel is something that makes me feel relaxed and free. In addition, I may meet some interesting people and be interesting during my travels. This is the meaning of travel. Once, maybe this is not fun, but I think this is a very rare experience. I took the plane for nearly twenty hours. I am really tired. After returning home, I didn’t wake up after sleeping for two days.

Back to study, I chose Ohio State University because Ohio State University is such an excellent university with a large and beautiful campus and a reputation for psychology. I am planning to study psychology at Ohio State University. I like psychology because it is fun and can help a lot of people. I have seen reports  of depression on the Internet. Chinese society pays too much attention to mental illness. I feel that I have the obligation to make a contribution to the society, so that more people understand and recognize from the heart that these mental illness patients are not freaks but just like us, like a normal person. But I am still worried that sometimes I can’t understand the professor’s words well. And I really don’t know how to make friends with locals. I am too shy to make friends. I hope that I can do better in the future.
