Observation Tower on the River Mur

One of my favorite one is the Observation Tower on the River Mur.

This observation tower on the River Mur in Austria by Munich-based firm “terrain:loenhart&mayr” is part functional structure, part sculpture based on the shape of a double helix

why it’s amazing… that’s because three repeating components and nodal geometries

  • an external frame of hollow-steel structural members
  • an internal web of steel cables
  • two helical stairways—cantilevered from the outer frame—that meet at the top

.

SO, I just consider how to do…. two spiral coming up?
