The West Virginia State University Department of Chemistry seeks applications for a full-time one-year term instructor of chemistry.
Responsibilities for the Instructor Position
Faculty member will be expected to teach Consumer Chemistry for non-majors, Health Science General Chemistry for non-majors, general chemistry courses, and potentially courses within the
candidate’s area of expertise. Persons with the desire to teach using both traditional and on-line modalities are encouraged to apply. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to student
advising, departmental outreach, and program assessment. The position is a nine-month term appointment with the opportunity to participate in summer school.
Night and weekend work will sometimes be required.
Requirements for the Instructor Position
The candidate must have a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
This position will be a full-time one-year term appointment in the Department of Chemistry within the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.
