We are excited to announce that the Inorganic Chemistry Exchange (ICE) will be hosting the second annual Malcolm H. Chisholm Workshop this semester. ICE focuses on facilitating intellectual exchange between students of The Ohio State University, particularly those in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, and eminent scientists in the field of inorganic chemistry! The goal of ICE and the Malcolm H. Chisholm Workshop is to enhance students’ interactions with invited speakers through research presentations as well as an informal social hour. By participating in the workshop, students have an opportunity to build their interpersonal network, get feedback on their research, and share knowledge amongst the scientific community.
We are delighted to announce that Peter T. Wolczanski (Cornell) has accepted our invitation to be the lecturer at our second Malcolm H. Chisholm Workshop. The workshop and lecture will be held on Wednesday, February 19th, 2020. A tentative schedule of events is as follows:
- Breakfast with the Speaker (CBEC 267): 8 – 8:50 am
- Morning Meetings (CBEC 267): 9 – 12:00 pm
- Lunch (CBEC 267): 12:15 – 1:45 pm (Sign up required)
- Afternoon Meetings (CBEC 267): 2 – 3:30 pm
- Seminar (CBEC 130): 4:10 – 5:05 pm
- Reception/Social Hour (CBEC Lobby): 5:10 – 6 pm
