P. Chris Hammel, Professor of Physics and Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Director of the Center for Emergent Materials: An NSF MRSEC, is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for projects in optically detected scanned probe magnetic resonance using NV centers in diamond. The work will involve studies of spin textures, including skyrmions, and ferromagnetic resonance studies of related ferromagnets. The successful candidate will also use ultrasensitive magnetic resonance detection to study dynamics and angular momentum transport in diverse magnetic systems and for spin imaging at the nanoscale.
