As the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in Florida, our goal is to nurture the next generation of gifted and competitive cancer researchers. Our Postdoctoral Training Program offers individuals access to state of the art, modern research laboratories and core facilities. The academic departments at the Moffitt Cancer Center include: immunology, drug discovery, cancer physiology, molecular oncology, tumor biology, cancer epidemiology, health outcomes & behavior, biostatistics & bioinformatics, and integrated mathematical oncology within the divisions of Basic Science, Population Science, Clinical Science, and Quantitative Science. Integrated teams from these different departments create five research programs supported by the Cancer Center Support Grant: Cancer Biology & Evolution, Cancer Epidemiology, Chemical Biology & Molecular Medicine, Health Outcomes & Behavior, and Immunology. Moffitt also houses four Centers of Excellence focused on lung cancer, melanoma, infection research in cancer, and the personalized medicine institute. We’re constantly investing in more resources to give our team everything they need to relentlessly take the fight to cancer.
I will be at OSU on July 26 and will be meeting with graduate students who may be interested in postdoctoral fellowship opportunities at Moffitt Cancer Center. We seek candidates from all fields who are ready to take the next step in their career. Our research program is designed to encourage collaboration and interdisciplinary teamwork. I look forward to meeting you.
