Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more information, go to: http://honors-scholars.osu.edu/e-portfolio. Scholars Presentation Slides

This project compared Molten Salt Reactors with Light Water Reactors and Fast Breeder Reactors. It outlines the benefits and disadvantages of implementing them. Molten Salt Reactors are different than others because it uses Salts, as a coolant and a fuel, and it is impossible to overflow/react. From this presentation, I’ve learned the upcoming technology ideas that I had no idea about, but should pay attention too. It provided useful because now I pay more attention to technology and global innovations instead of paying attention to the Kardashians Tweets.

About Me

Hanging

My name is Macy Chapman, I am a Freshman studying Chemical Engineering at Ohio State. In high school, I played Softball and Tennis competitively. In my free time I like to knit, crochet, do puzzles, read, draw, and play violin. I like to stay busy, although I find myself watching the latest episode of Quantico every Sunday on ABC. As I finish up my first semester, I’ve acquired certain qualities as a student that I didn’t need in high school. Even though sometimes school is discouraging, it’s important to persevere and I’m excited to see what my future semesters at OSU bring.
