About Me

Hey I’m Ken, and this is is my first year at The Ohio State University! I’m a Health Sciences Scholar majoring in Pre-Nursing on a BSN track. I would also love to minor in Women’s Studies, as it correlates to my “hopeful” profession. I think the topic of Women’s health should be of greater priority, and there is a vast amount of knowledge to understand, learn, and progress. My dream profession is Midwifery or truthfully any position dealing with Maternal- Fetal Medicine. Over the summer, I participated in a program allowing me to professionally shadow within a hospital setting. I had fascinating experiences, including observing a Cesarean Section and multiple vaginal deliveries. Pertaining to my personal life, I’m from Stow, Ohio, which is a little outside of Akron. A few facts about me include my passion for fitness and holistic medicine. I love the Osteopathic approach to not just medicine, but life in general. I feel that illness can be cured through a healthy lifestyle and natural, botanic remedies. Also, I have a crazy obsession with sweet potatoes and the “Tree of Life” symbol. I’m your standard “Type-A” personality; however, my goal for college is to better adapt to adversity and figure out the person I aspire to be.
