Honors & Scholars students will commit to service to the community. Students will be exposed to the many social issues prevalent in society by partaking in a variety of service opportunities offered through the Center and other departments on campus. Students will connect their service experiences to their specific major or area of interest whenever possible.
In International Affairs Scholars, this looks like:
- Acquire a greater understanding of how local and university organizations that promote service and volunteerism function, both globally and within the Columbus community
- Experience service in both an academic and informal manner through Study Abroad opportunities, keyed on specific international and global themes
- Understand and experience key international and global themes through first-hand involvement in-class and community activities
