Pace Setters Award Ceremony – February 2015

Since 1961, the Pace Setters Awards Ceremony has commemorated top business students. The ceremony also recognizes exceptional staff, faculty, and one executive who set the pace in the business and academic communities. Each year the Undergraduate Leadership and Engagement Office (ULEO) is in charge of programming the event.

As a Student Assistant at ULEO I was given the responsibility of various tasks for the programming   For example, I created and executed a mail merge to build the nametags for the award winners and esteemed guests. Following the ceremony, our office conducts research (G.O.A.L.S. –  O) of what attendees think about the event and how we can improve our programming next year. After all the responses are in, I handle manipulating the data into different visuals and statistics to be used in presentations and preparation for the Pace Setters of the years to come.

As you can see from the photo below, even though I attended the event to direct guests and ensure the program went smoothly, I still had some fun! I had an amazing opportunity to introduce myself to the new Fisher COB Dean Anil Makhija while continuing to develop my relationship the Undergraduate Fisher COB Dean Pat West.
