At the end of my Junior year, the Honors Cohort program welcomed a new director: Ty Shepfer. Ty is actually a graduate from the 9th Honors Cohort. Under Ty’s leadership, the Honors Cohort Advisory Council was founded to bring Honors Cohort alumni back into the conversation. Ty’s ultimate goal is to make the Honors Cohort program the best in the world. In addition to alumni members on the council, he also hand picked two senior class representatives and one junior class representative. I am honored to be one of the senior class representatives to bring that gap between the two directors of the program as well as to better the program for the Cohorters of the future.
Through this experience I have had the privilege of serving on the selections committee to revamp our application process, contributing to a revolutionary case study experience, and attending the spring trip to Silicon Valley.
