Forte is an organization that strives to bring together top business schools and leading companies to present opportunities to women who are interested in business. Forte specializes in encouraging and providing resources to women to pursue a MBA. I was selected to attend their C2B conference in Austin, TX in November, 2014. The convention focused on giving female undergraduate students context on the transition from college ‘2’ business. This conference was extraordinary in my development because it provided participants with the opportunity to take part in a market simulation of when the personal PC was first introduced to the market. This activity encouraged quick analytic thinking. I incorporated ideas that I have been learning in my core business classes (business analytics, marketing, logistics, and so on). It gave me a preview of what it would be like to move business academics to business practice.
Forte has recently built a partnership with OSU as a Forte Fellow school. For more information on that partnership and my role in it please click here!
