During my Sophomore fall semester(AU14), I applied, interviewed, and was luckily extended an invitation to attend EY’s Emerging Leaders Summit. The Summit took place in Washington D.C from July 17-19. We learned about everything from Executive Presence to Business Excellence. One of my favorite sessions surrounded Integrity, Leadership,and Transparency. The session was led by a few professor from Miami of Oxford University. They challenged us to think of Integrity as who you are, Leadership as what you do, and Transparency as what you say. It was a great way to help make the concepts more tangible for a room of young professionals with little experience.
The most prominent item that I took away from this experience is that work should encompass your full self. If you come to work whole, you’re bound to be more productive. It was encouraging to see a firm so invested in supporting the individual. Click here to watch a video made about the summit!
