Really great experiments CC! There is a lot of variety in both texture and density that you presented. I think I can identify the grapes on the grid, but I am not sure! Did you use the actual grapes – or the grape vines? Both would yield interesting results! You will find that some tools work better than others, so feel free to incorporate more as you make your still life.
Notice also how the density of mark-making (the quality of a thin vs. thick line), also corresponds with how you might develop light or dark areas in your still life ink drawing. You can even treat this grid drawing as a reference chart. Diluting the ink with water also allows you to develop even more variation, but be careful not to completely lose the beauty of these marks you just showed. Again, great work!
