OSUCCC – The James: Summer Volunteers

The James Cancer Hospital is accepting applications for summer student volunteers. Applications will be accepted through Sunday, April 3.

College volunteers are required to volunteer a minimum of one two-hour shift per week. Most volunteer positions are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., with limited weekend opportunities.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and in the process of obtaining a two- or four-year degree.

If you are selected to attend the interview session on Wednesday, April 13, you will need to bring a letter of recommendation from a teacher, advisor, or work supervisor.

OSUCCC Academic Year Research Opportunity

CREATES-Undergrad is a paid research experience for Ohio State undergraduate students interested in cancer research careers. Participants will conduct work in state-of-the-art research laboratories within The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center/James Cancer Hospital and College of Pharmacy at Ohio State.

The program, which runs during autumn and spring semesters of the 2021-2022 school year, includes up to a $4,000 stipend and mentorship by Ohio State faculty and staff.

No prior research experience is expected, and preference will be given to current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.

CREATES-Undergrad is a full-time (40 hours/week), paid summer research experience for Ohio State undergraduate students interested in cancer research careers. Participants will conduct work in state-of-the-art research laboratories at OSUCCC – James and health sciences colleges at Ohio State.

The program includes a $4,000 stipend and student mentoring programs.
