Drs. James and Wanda Trefil Science Scholarship

The Kościuszko Foundation grants a $5,000 scholarship each year for undergraduate students of Polish descent. The scholarship is under Drs. James and Wanda Trefil, both dedicated educators who are passionate in helping outstanding students achieve their academic goals.

Requirements of the “Drs. James and Wanda Trefil Science Scholarship” include:

  • Undergraduate student of Polish descent, US citizen or permanent resident
  • Outstanding promise in the natural sciences
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA

The scholarship is sponsored by James Trefil, Clarence J. Robinson Professor of Physics at George Mason University, and prolific writer of 50 books.  His wife, Wanda, is of Polish descent, and a life-long teacher.  The Drs. Trefil owe their educations to scholarships, and they delight in locating and helping outstanding students to achieve their goals.

Scholarship: Students of Polish Decent

The Kościuszko Foundation is offering a scholarship worth $5,000 to undergraduate students of Polish decent.

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be an undergraduate of Polish decent who is a US citizen/permanent resident
  • Have outstanding promise in the natural sciences
  • Have at least a 3.5 GPA
