OGR Post-Baccalaureate Program at Washington University in St. Louis

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking applicants for their postbac program, the Opportunities in Genomics Research (OGR) – Extensive Study program at The McDonnell Genome Institute. OGR is an National Human Genome Research Institute funded post-baccalaureate program (genome.wustl.edu), committed to increasing the number of underrepresented students who pursue PhD’s in genomics and related fields. This postbac includes research and enrichment activities such as GRE and graduate school preparation. 

They offer a competitive salary for students and the cost of living in St. Louis is quite low.  Areas of research that their students have pursued as a part of OGR include: genomics, bio-informatics, cancer biology, microbiology, developmental biology, cell biology and physiology. Candidates can interview with several faculty via phone or Skype prior to choosing a mentor. They are also happy to connect students to program alumni who are currently matriculating in our PhD programs.
