Analytical Laboratory Summer Technician Internship

Owens Corning’s Granville Science & Technology is hiring a Sumer Intern to work in The Corporate Analytical Lab. This position will include routine and non-routine sample preparation for instrumental analysis, commitment to safety protocols, following detailed procedures, and communication results.

Desired skills include, but are not limited to:

  • Diverse experience with analytical instrumentation
  • Safely work with hazardous chemicals
  • Attention to detail while performing repetitive work
  • Ability to quickly learn instrument specific software

Minimum requirements include 2 years of college course work in a hard science (Chemistry or Materials/Mechanical Engineering preferred) and experience working in a chemical laboratory.

SafeWhite is a startup company developing a consumer teeth whitening product based on innovative protein technology. Their R&D lab is currently recruiting part-time lab techs or research assistants starting in August. They think that this position is perfect for a Biochemistry undergraduate student looking for real world applied lab experience in a protein biochemistry lab. The commitment would be about 20 hrs a week, M-F and there are up to 2 part time technician positions available.  Their wet lab and office are located close to campus, inside the Rev1 Ventures incubator on the SciTech campus on Kinnear Rd.
