U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) Entrepreneurship Program

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) is sponsoring a new program for the summer of 2021. The OTT Entrepreneurship Program is designed to develop a pool of talented technology commercialization professionals to achieve OTT’s mission to expand the public impact of the department’s research and development (R&D) portfolio while advancing the economic, energy and national security interests of the nation.

Under the mentorship of National Lab technology transfer specialists and OTT staff, selected candidates will participate in research activities that will enhance their education and training in technology commercialization-related fields and increase their future marketability in these disciplines. In addition, participants assigned to policy-related projects will gain deep insight into the federal government’s role in the creation and implementation of policies that will affect energy technology development and commercialization.

Selected candidates will receive a $700 per week stipend. Internships will be for 10 weeks beginning on Monday, June 14, 2021 through Friday, August 20, 2021.

Candidates must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student pursuing a degree in science, technology, mathematics, engineering, or business with an interest in entrepreneurship and technology commercialization.

The deadline to apply is May 10, 2021.
