Each summer, twelve students from colleges and universities across the country are hired to serve as Core Academic Teachers (CTs) in their program. Core Academic Teachers (CTs) are college students who are interested in education. You do not have to be an education major to teach at Aspire! You simply have to have a passion for working with young people and a desire to have a positive impact on the future of education!
Each CT teaches an academic class in one of four disciplines: Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts, and an elective workshop for five-weeks. Through the guidance and support of a mentor teacher, CTs develop their own curriculum around the given class theme as well as a curriculum for an elective workshop of their choice. Through the daily faculty meetings, young teachers will have the  opportunity to participate in professional development workshops and learn about the daily lives of teachers.

Candidates for the CT position must be available to work from June 14, 2017-July 28, 2017.  This is a paid position with a $2,000 stipend.

Interested candidates are welcome to apply.
