About me

I am Jeremy Cather. I am an Ohioan, an alumni, and an employee of The Ohio State University. I plan, implement, and maintain computer driven teaching and learning environments for the College of Arts and Sciences. I run a few servers, I maintain 500+ computers, I manage a small dedicated team of staff. I don’t consider myself a computer expert, so much as a bricoleur of computers. Though I have 16 years of experience, I feel like most of my experience has been gained less by training and more by doing and thus more befitting the french term bricoleur than the authority of expert.

I’m married and expecting my first child May 2013.

I am also a world traveler and though the list of places I have been is short, I consider myself well traveled.

I lived in Japan for two years in my early adolescence.

I’ve paddled the Colorado river through Grand Canyon for two life changing weeks.

I’ve traveled around the US to Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, and Utah

I’ve visited Berlin, Germany.

I’ve road tripped around Scotland from coast to coast.
