Blog Post #7- Book Perspective

I’m running a little behind but here is what I have done. These are all different volumes of My Hero Academia which is actually the only “book” I have in my dorm but also a favorite. This is 20, 21, and 23 because they have the most panels of my favorite characters. I plan to color them Monday lol.

  1. Hi Casey— really nice work! I love how you drew multiple volumes of the same series and how that the image on the cover also shifts with the perspective of the book. It is also great to see some of your colorwork here! It looks like you also enjoyed the process of drawing these books too.

If you still have any questions about perspective since you completed this blog post, let me know. It is easier to explain in conversation, but that being said, when in doubt always trust what you are seeing first! Then you can use the tools/ rule of perspective to guide the making of your drawing. Learn “the rules” of vision to break them — as the artist you have the power to make the drawing you want to see!

And thanks for the reading recommendation! I have not read “My Hero Academia” – I will have to check the series out!
