About Me

My name is Matthew Carlisle, I’m a fourth year studying Biological Engineering here at the Ohio State University and plan on continuing my education by going to medical school after graduating in the spring of 2020. I grew up in Solon, Ohio and graduated from Solon High School in 2016.

For the past two summers I’ve worked on a variety of different projects at the Cleveland VA. This past academic year I worked on a capstone project developing an assistive device to enable users with lower extremity disabilities to transfer into a skid steer independently. This summer, I’m working in a microbiology lab at the Cleveland VA on a project investigating a new this persistent disinfectant. I’m also working on a case study of the adverse effects of Dantrolene in the spinal cord injury population.
