Artifacts

One of my kept artifacts from the beginning of the year was the pin from Fisher Centennial. During this event, I was given the opportunity to listen to Les Wexner discuss his successful life as well as how Max Fihser impacted his decisions in an influential way. A common theme that stuck out in both Les and Max’s stories was the idea of perseverance. This experience was so prominent for me because I went to my first Business Scholars Leadership Council meeting afterwards with a  fresh mindset to do big things.

This pin is significant to me because it reminds me of the perseverance and strong mindset leaders need to acquire. I like the idea that it came directly from such an important event and that I am able to wear it if need be.

About Me

Hi, my name is Camila Cardenas and I am a freshman at The Ohio State University pursuing a BSBA in Marketing.  I was born in Colombia and moved to the US when I was 6, allowing me to be fluent in Spanish and English. Being involved with different cultures has taught me how to adapt to various situations and work well with others. I attended Sycamore High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, graduating with honors. Throughout my transition at Ohio State, I have engaged in various organizations such as Hispanic Business Student Association, Morrill Scholars, Business Scholars, Delta Delta Delta, and Business Scholars Leadership CouncilIMG_5506. Each association has allowed me to highlight my strengths and improve myself in a multitude of ways every week. My favorite organization has been Business Scholars. I have benefited from this program academically, professionally, and socially. Due to the strong community the scholars have, I have been exposed to events and opportunities that most students wouldn’t receive. I look forward to the experiences ahead that will make me a successful business woman. Go Bucks!
