Hello Everyone!

Happy Earth Day! The first Earth Day occurred on April 22, 1970 where 10% of the United States population began protesting the deterioration of our planet due to pollution. Following Earth Day many key regulations and standards were put in place like the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, Clean Air Act, and many more. In 1990, Earth Day became a global even and was celebrated by 141 different countries. This year we are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Earth Day! Since most of the scheduled Earth Day events have been cancelled, a group of Ohio State University Students teamed up with The Wilma H. Schiermeier Olentangy River Wetlands Research Park to generate resources that you can use with your families to celebrate Earth Day in your homes and around Columbus, Ohio!
