Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen. G.O.A.L.S.

For the Autumn 2020 semester my main goal is to pass all of my final exams with a C+ or higher, so I can keep my current grades or improve them. I also want to be able to apply, with full understanding, everything that I have learned this semester to my classes next semester. My goal for this school year is to make connections with professors and other faculty that give me research opportunities and allow me to grow my connections on campus. By the end of my Undergraduate studies, I want to have a strong skillset in the topics of math and chemistry, so I will be prepared to go on to medical school.

Career

[“Career” is where you can collect information about your experiences and skills that will apply to your future career.  Like your resume, this is information that will evolve over time and should be continually updated.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen. To get answers to specific questions, please email eportfolio@osu.edu. Delete these instructions and add your own post.]

Artifacts

[Artifacts are the items you consider to be representative of your academic interests and achievements. For each entry, include both an artifact and a detailed annotation.  An annotation includes both a description of the artifact and a reflection on why it is important to you, what you learned, and what it means for your next steps.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen. About Me

Hi! My name is Kaya Campbell and I am from Indian Lake, Ohio and I graduated this year from Indian Lake High School. Throughout high school I was very involved in clubs and organizations. I spent most of my time volunteering or working on something for our music program. I spent most of my time on the stage for choir, show choir, vocal jazz, and musical; however, I am looking to break away from music as I start college and begin to focus more on volunteering.

Currently, I am a chemistry major on the pre-med track. I am hoping to pursue a career in the medical field and I am currently looking into ophthalmology. I am in the College of Arts and Sciences and I am also a part of the STEM Exploration and Engagement Scholars program. I am hoping that this program will help me connect with other STEM majors and allow me to grow my knowledge in STEM. Along with the scholars program, I am participating in other organizations focused on medicine, volunteerism, and student life. I am hoping to be very active within these groups as the year continues and connect with other students.
