Sorry, it has taken me so long to post a comment here – but thanks for posting a finished version of this drawing! I think it turned out really nicely! That hose is especially excellent because it really ties the whole drawing together and provides some essential contrast of value so that the other shapes stand out. I am also drawn to those guitar strings and the pig that is almost camouflaged in the foreground! If you are interested in abstraction, this way of working is definitely a method of how you might get there. I could keep looking at this drawing for a long time, deciphering some of the ambiguity and also admiring the textures you picked up!
