Hello Everyone!! My name is Debra Cain and I’m excited to be back for my last semester here at OSU. I have been married for eight years now and this October will make it nine. We truly balance each other out. I have a four year old son named Ethan who I absolutely love and adore more than anything in the world. My husband and I have recently decided to stay in Ohio after graduation, and have just purchased a home in Lima, Ohio. As if this last semester isn’t challenging enough with written and clinical boards, midterms and finals, we will be moving in to our new home on the day that I take my written board! Looks like I’m not lifting a finger!! Haha. Before attending OSU, I enjoyed gardening, reading, zumba and taking walks. I’m looking forward to going back to a normal adult life in four months!!!. My plans for after graduation are to find a full time position, however I wouldn’t be upset if all I can fine in the beginning is a part time position. My birthday is January 25th and I’m turning 31, I’m not a spring chicken like the others in my class and so if I’m going to have another child I better get started soon! 😉 I cant wait to see you all soon!

Sounds like you are super busy! I know how busy things can be with a preschooler in your life, let alone boards, school, moving! Before you know it it’ll all be done. I love the picture of your son! Best of luck to you in graduation and the job hunt!
Does this mean that your classmates should start planning a baby shower for Chuck and you? 😉
No, No, Not Yet!! My schedule is busy enough right now. I dont feel like being bothered with morning sickness on top of everything else I have going on!! 🙂
Hi, Debra,
Congratuation on your up coming graduation in four months and your new home.I also enjoy zumba, i think it is a great way to release stress and also a wounderfull workout. Your son is adorable. Good luck in your up coming board exams and future job search.
That picture of your son is so cute!! Moving will be so tough with your boards at the same time but that is a great excuse to not have to do any of the heavy lifting haha! After graduation a full-time job is always what you want but if you find a great office that can give you some part-time experience that is also great! Becoming a sub is also a great way to get started in the field after graduation and gives you a lot of good experiences at different offices and helps you narrow down the type of office you would like to work for. Some may even hire you on to their staff which is how I found my jobs! Good luck with everything!!
YAY!! Another baby 🙂 Ethan needs a little sister! haha. You may not be a spring chicken by age, but you sure are just as energetic as the rest of us! I can’t wait to see what this last semester holds for us.
