Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s MHHD 2019

As a Teaching Assistant for Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Mechanisms of Human Health and Disease in the summer of 2019, I was tasked with leading (and grading for) eight of my own students. I prepared an Apprenticeship Project for each of my students to complete about the role of model organisms in disease research.

I also had the opportunity to lecture on molecular biology and social impact of HIV/AIDS as part of the program’s Disease Mechanisms lecture series.

It was wonderful to work with such a great staff, get to mentor eager students, and meet and speak with countless science and healthcare professionals throughout the program.
