Advancing Geospatial Technologies via Private-Public Partnership for Geospatial Research

The Ohio State University, Purdue University, and Saint Louis University have joined forces to create an Industry-University Collaborative Research Center (IUCRC) with the National Science Foundation to advance the state-of-art and practice. Register for our CAGE Planning Workshop being held on May 25-26!

The Center for Accurate Georeferencing of the Environment (CAGE) will tackle transformative research in:

  • Geospatial data referencing
    • Ensuring accurate and resilient positioning of any object/information in space and time
  • Geospatial data standards
    • Facilitate guidelines/standardization and industry practice in adequate use of geospatial data to advance innovation and efficiency
  • Geospatial data analytics
    • Harness the huge potential of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the exploitation of geospatial data.

Your company’s membership provides these benefits:

  • access to flagship universities’ experts and facilities
  • early looks at the graduate-level talent in the field,
  • preferred intellectual property licensing,
  • shared risk and cost across the consortium’s research endeavors,
  • augmentation of in-house research and development activities.

National Science Foundation – Industry-University Research Collaborative Center (IUCRC)

The Industry–University Cooperative Research Centers (IUCRC) program accelerates the impact of basic research through close relationships between industry innovators, world-class academic teams, and government leaders. IUCRCs are designed to help corporate partners and government agencies connect directly and efficiently with university researchers to achieve three primary objectives: Conduct high-impact research to meet shared industrial needs in companies of all sizes; Enhance U.S. global leadership in driving innovative technology development, and; Identify, mentor and develop a diverse high-tech, exceptionally skilled workforce.
