Advancing Sustainability and Durability through Development of Novel Technologies and Increasing Knowledge of Cement-Based Materials
Outside of research experience and internship, active participation in the CEGE student groups is one of the best ways to learn about career options for civil engineers. I advise the ACI and Concrete Canoe student groups and encourage you to explore the following links to learn more about the two groups:
At the start of the spring semester ACI collaborated with the professional Central Ohio ACI and the Columbus chapter of ICRI, to host a speed dating event. Students paired up to rotate around and get to personally know concrete professionals from throughout the community.
In the fall ACI students compete in the ACI student competition. In Fall 2018 the competition centered around production of pervious concrete. Bryan Sluis and Frank… designed, tested, and flew to the ACI Convention in Las Vegas to compete against other student teams.
