During my sophomore year here at Ohio State, I have been able to grow both personally and professionally and have fit in much better on campus. I have also been able to make many memories that will last a lifetime. One of my favorite memories from this school year was during football season when we played Penn State. Nothing will ever beat the thrill of running down onto the football field with all of your friends after a thrilling comeback. Another great memory I have is from the end of December when we had our first real snow. Some of my friends from Business Scholars found an area outside of Curl that we could play football in and played for hours. Another memory that I will always have from this year as well, is just having my friends come over and either play video games or watch movies together on random days each week. Besides from making memories this year, I was also able to develop personally and professionally. One area I feel I have really grown in, is my leadership abilities. When I first came to Ohio State, I was a bit anxious about being on such a big campus. With so many different opportunities and clubs to join I found it overwhelming and hard to find a good place to fit in. I think in my second year I have been able to find that fit and develop my leadership skills with BOMS (Buckeye Operations Management Society). I took on a role this year as VP of Membership and Recruitment and this role allowed me to become more involved with the organization, as well as develop my communication skills by reaching out to members of the club before and during meetings. Another way I was able to develop professionally was through interview practice, which eventually lead to an internship offer for the upcoming summer. By becoming QUIC certified, and developing my communication skills throughout the year, I was able to set my self up for success in the future. I have had a great experience in my second year at Ohio State, and am looking forward to the upcoming fall to be back on campus.
