My name is Wyatt Bunstine and I am a first year at Ohio State. I will be part of Dunn Sport and Wellness Scholars because of my love of sports and because of the positive experience my sister had. I am double majoring in physics and computer science engineering and I plan to pursue a career in physics research. When I was younger, I was always curious about the world around me and wanted to know more about the way the things worked. I decided to pursue this curiosity in the form of physics and I found my love of computer science growing up building and programming computers. I have further pursued both of these in the form of physics research, which I began doing in November of 2017. Since then, I went from an unpaid volunteer to a paid employee and a valuable member of the team. The physics research is very interesting and has vastly expanded my views as well as changed my ways of thinking.
Outside of work and the classroom, I enjoy playing sports and spending time with my dogs. I love kayaking and spending time on lakes and rivers, especially with my sisters and family. I am from a town called Alexandria, about 30 minutes northeast of Columbus. I like visiting Columbus with my family and trying different restaurants within the city. My father graduated from Miami university with a degree in finance and my mother graduated from The Ohio State University with a masters in accounting. My older sister, Josie, is currently a third year at The Ohio State University and my younger sister, Riley, is a sophomore in high school.
I am very excited to further my educating at The Ohio State University and continue it in grad school.
