Traditions Dining

Traditions At MorrillĀ – 2-minute elevator ride

Traditions at Morrill is located on the second floor of Morrill Tower. In order to get into it you must used Grubhub to order either pizza, from the action station, sandwich station, or the hot/cold bar. This will give you a green reuseable box. There is only one entrance to get to the food area. You have to go to the south entrance which will take you to the entrance of the C-Store and Traditions location. To enter the dining hall you must show the order that you paid for an entry swipe or a meal.

Many people say Morrill is the worst dining hall location, I disagree because the fruit has never had a bad day. It is always good. The pizza is also good. Plus this involves little to no walking for me considering I live in Morrill. It is nice to have a dining hall so close especially since walking back from the other locations is a pain. It is also really nice because if I don’t want to walk out in the cold, then I can take the elevator to the 3rd floor and walk down the stairs to get to the Traditions and easily get food.

Traditions At ScottĀ – 5-minutes from Smith Lab

There are two floors in the Traditions at Scott. The first floor contains breakfast food in the morning. You can also find the grains and greens, salad bar, and grill. There is also a yogurt area and a fruit area. The fruit is hit or miss. On the second floor there is a Mongolian grill that is really good and a taco bar. The dessert area is in the center of the building on the first floor, and it has ice cream machines, cupcakes, cookies, and occasionally cheesecake.

Scott also offers certain things only on Grubhub, like steak night, the stir-fry noodles at the Mongolian grill, and omelets. The omelets are available to order through a kiosk, unlike the other things mentioned.

There is almost nowhere to sit, unless you go at weird times of the day, but the food is good and you can always count on certain things being there because they don’t really change the menu which is nice. The waffle fries are by far my favorite thing to get. I usually go to Scott on a daily basis after my math recitation at Smith Lab.

Traditions At Kennedy – 15-minute walk from Morrill Tower

Traditions at Kennedy is like most campus dining halls that I have been to throughout my sports career in high school. There is only one floor in Kennedy. Kennedy is set up with the food a little past the cashier area. In the center of the food area there is fruit, salad, things for burgers, and even cereal. Surrounding the center food bar are different stations that offer different types of food to chose from. They have a grains and greens bar, grill, and a stir-fry bar. Near the food, there is a small amount of seating and a doorway to two different areas. One area is two or three steps up and contains another small amount of seating. Through the other doorway leads to a giant dining hall that has long tables and a few smaller tables.

This dining hall is my personal favorite. They change up their menu a lot more than Scott does and has never let me down when it comes to fruit. Kennedy also has a bigger selection of fruit which is perfect for me because I like eating fruit with every meal. With Kennedy, I have never struggled to find open seats, which is a big plus in my book. I normally go to Kennedy at nights for dinner.
