Math Buildings

Tall burnt orange buildings known as the math buildings.

The archives mentioned that the Math Tower was completed in 1993 and was a three-building project. This three-building project consisted of the Math Tower, a classroom building known as 209 W. 18th Avenue, and the Science and Engineering library, known as the 18th Avenue Library. The total project cost about 25.5 billion dollars. These three buildings are the only buildings in Central Ohio that were built by Philip Johnson.

The only building a part of this trifecta that I have been in is the classroom building. 209 W. 18th Avenue is where I have my math lecture. The lecture hall is big and provides enough seating for you to have space between you and other people if that is how you would like to sit. I love the setup of this building which has little sitting areas on the first and second floor. On the first floor there are two lecture halls and on the second floor there are a few more lecture halls and more seating areas.

I go to the math buildings every Tuesday and Thursday after eating lunch at the Traditions at Kennedy. 209 W. 18th Avenue is a 9-minute walk from Traditions at Kennedy.
