Smith Laboratory

In the archives I couldn’t find much information on Smith Lab. Although, the archives mentioned that in July of 1968, Smith Lab was officially named “A. W. Smith Laboratory of Physics” by the Board of Trustees. Then later that year, in September, the name was changed to “Alpheus Smith Laboratory of Physics”. I read in the Ohio State Knowledge Bank that Smith Lab contains five floors. On floors one through four, there are classrooms and on floor two there is an office for the College of Engineering. Floor five contains the planetarium which is known for its comfy seats and amazing views

Smith Lab is where I have my math recitation. I really like this building, despite getting lost in the maze for the first couple of weeks. I finally learned to go through the same door that will lead me closest to my class. There are areas in the building to sit.

Smith Lab is about a 5 min walk from Enarson Classroom. I go to Smith Lab right after my English 1110 on Mondays and Wednesdays.
