Get Involved!
The Ohio State University languages and cultures departments/centers invite student organizations to participate in the upcoming Buckeyes Go Global event. This event is envisioned as a welcome to incoming and returning students by showcasing the various global, multicultural, and language opportunities on campus. The event includes a stage for dance and music performances as well as information tables to inform attendees about the many international, foreign language, and cultural learning opportunities on our campus.
Student organizations can register to have an information table, a performance on the stage, or both. This is a great and unique opportunity for student organizations to introduce their activities to the OSU community and inform new students about how they can get involved.
Since there are only 20 tables available to student organizations, you are encouraged to register as soon as possible and submit a description of how you plan to contribute to the event.
Examples of these may include:
- Student organization information table
- Cultural/Art exhibition
- Food & Desserts (indicate if this will be an org. fundraiser)
- Performance (Dance, Music, etc.) on the stage
The organizations that are planning performances will receive a detailed performance schedule.
The organizations that are going to occupy a table should plan to be present for the entirety of the event. Organizations may consider reaching out to local ethnic restaurants to arrange donations for the event, let the event organizers know if you would like assistance making these kinds of requests.
