About The Orchestra
The Buckeye Philharmonic Orchestra at The Ohio State University is a student-run symphony orchestra dedicated to giving all eager instrumentalists the chance to play challenging music in a social setting. We pride ourselves in producing quality music while maintaining a fun and relaxed demeanor.
The orchestra plays full symphonic repertoire and performs one concert each semester. Musicians in the orchestra can also participate in community outreach events through chamber music performance. The Buckeye Philharmonic Orchestra rehearses Monday evenings during Autumn and Spring semesters. Entrance into the orchestra is based on auditions taking place near the beginning of each semester. Concert and other event info can be found on the Event Calendar.
In response to COVID-19, our organization has been working on how we can best adapt to create a great experience for all of our members next semester. Please see the attached update from our president, Matt Berman, on how we hope to continue to make music while keeping our community healthy.
