myIDP Seminar

Starting this summer, all post-candidacy students will be required to develop an IDP as part of their annual committee meeting. We have the unique opportunity to learn about the tool and how to make the most of if from one of the developers. Cynthia Fuhrmann will join us on Apr. 26 at 4:00 pm in the US Bank Theater of the Ohio Union for a seminar entitled, “Using Individual Development Plans to Enhance Both Research Productivity and Career Development.”  Dr. Fuhrmann is the Assistant Dean for Career & Professional Development at UMass Medical School.  http://myidp.sciencecareers.org/

The nominations have been compiled and put into a convenient poll for you to select your TOP 3 CHOICES for this year’s plenary speaker. The professor with the highest vote total by this  Friday at 5 pm will be selected as our speaker!

CMBP/Center for RNA Biology Annual Symposium

The registration site for the CMBP/Center for RNA Biology annual symposium is now live at:

We have a terrific group of speakers this year and will have a poster session for students and postdocs to present their work with judging and prizes awarded this year. As a reminder, all CMBP fellows are required to attend. In addition, all fellows in their second year or above who are not speaking at the symposium this year must present a poster.
