Artifacts
I was involved in DECA, a business and marketing program, my senior year of high school at Gahanna Lincoln. In DECA, I created a 30-page research paper and proposal, an oral presentation, and presentation boards. I worked to complete the project over the course of the entire year, working after school and during lunch to meet deadlines, make changes, and practice my presentation. My project on Taco Bell’s company culture and employee engagement qualified for the State and National convention. After traveling to Nashville, Tennessee, for Nationals, I realized how much DECA has taught me. Not only had I learned about marketing and business, but also how to set goals and achieve them, how to work with people of all kinds, and how to put my all into something I want. These lessons can be applied to my time here at OSU and further on. DECA was a life-changing experience that made me a better student and person.
About Me
Hannah Bryan is a first year Ohio State student who is currently enrolled in University Exploration. Although she is undecided in major, Hannah’s ultimate goal is to become a pediatrician. Working with children and helping others have always been two of her passions, and she looks forward to spending the rest of her life doing so. She is from a suburb just outside of Columbus, so one could say she has been a buckeye fan since birth. Her family has always been her biggest support system, always encouraging her to pursue her dreams and do what she loves. In high school, Hannah enjoyed cheerleading, being in the marching band and choir, DECA, Girl Scouts, and being a member of the National Honor Society and the Wexner Service Corps. Hannah has always loved getting involved in her community and school, and has already began to do so here at OSU. Along with joining the Vegan/Vegetarian Club, Medlife, and BuckiPAC, Hannah is elated to be a part of the Mount Leadership Society Scholars. Hannah is beyond excited to spend the next four years being a buckeye.
