Foodpreneur School is a two-part, in-person learning program focused on food and farm businesses marketing directly to consumers through farmer’s markets, on-farm stands, in retail locations, and via online channels. Learn about building a consistent impactful brand, formal sales strategies to bolster growth, and better identifying and reaching target customers. Participants will leave the program with SMART goals for growing their marketing and sales.

Foodpreneur School is hosted by the CFAES Center for Cooperatives at Ohio State, in partnership with the Direct Food & Agricultural Marketing Specialist, Ohio State University Extension and Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at OSU South Centers.

Monday, September 25, 2023, 3 – 6:30 p.m.- Session I – Branding & Sales

  • Learn the powerful impact branding can have on your business and learn sales techniques that can benefit small food and farm businesses.

Monday, October 2, 2023, 3 – 6:30 p.m.- Session II – Customer Engagement & SMART Goals

  • Learn how to better identify and engage your business’s target customers, including tips for email, text, and social media engagement. Learn about and develop SMART goals for your business marketing and sales.
