Don’t Forget About Ohio’s Beef Cow/Calf Workshop

This is a great opportunity to not only help make your cow/calf operation profitable but this is also an opportunity to get earn your BEEF QUALITY ASSURANCE CERTIFICATION AND RECERTIFICATION CREDITS WILL BE AVAILABLE! The Cow Calf Workshop brings experts from across Ohio to discuss and demonstrate practices that you might apply on your farm to improve your operation. By attending the sessions listed below you will receive the needed interaction with speakers and participants to address any questions, as well as the opportunity to connect with fellow cattle producers. The sessions will include
Optimizing Forage Fertility- James Morris, OSU Extension Brown County
Feed Sampling and Nutrient Analysis- Ted Wiseman, OSU Extension Perry County
Feedstuff Evaluation and Processing- Erik Scott, Scott Farms
Planning Cow Management and Feeding Mineral- Garth Ruff- OSUE Beef Cattle Field Specialist
Body Condition Scoring and Facilities- Stan Smith, OSU Extension Fairfield County
This event will be held on Thursday, FEBRUARY 24, 2022 from 9:00am-2:30pm at Scott Farms 9681 U.S. 68, Georgetown, OH 45121. There is a cost of $10 per person and PRE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. The pre-registration can be sent to OSU Extension Brown County, 937-378-6716 by FEBRUARY 17, 2022. *Beef lunch and Materials included.
