Shape Grammar Project

In this project, I focused on the design principle of movement by exploring negative space in my composition through the use of triangles and squares in order to create a rotational feeling.

Perspective Project

In this project, I focused on linear perspective by applying it to construct a desired workspace of mine.

2D to 3D Translation Project

In this project, I focused on the exploration of the relationship between 2-D shapes and 3-D forms by translating a previous design of mine into a 3-dimensional composition.

Space and Time Walk Project

In this project, I focused on “Slow Looking” observation and communicating a journey from Hayes Hall through campus to the Garden of Constants via mapping.

Patterning and Abstractions Project

In this project, I focused on the use of patterns and abstractions drawn from natural and physical objects in order to create a mandala that prioritized directional movement through the use of different values and color schemes.

MashUp Project

In this project, I explored isometric perspective drawing, by crafting a new word and visually communicating its definition through a digital poster.

Sketchbook Project

In this project, I explored how narratives play a role in how designers communicate by crafting a sketchbook that would fit my needs as a designer.

Layering Space Project

In this project, I used paper layering techniques to emphasize and exaggerate the sense of depth and space that exists in the ocean.

Mask Up Project

In this partner project, I explored designing a mask that was inspired by Smallpox Pandemic.

Dynamic Pages Project

In this partner project, I explored dynamic papercraft through the use of paper mechanisms inspired by the instrumental music in The Pink Panther theme song.

Checkmate Project

In this partner project, I explored the narrative within chess by reimagining game aesthetics to support the comparison between the cities of Chicago and New York.

Gifting Design Project

In this project, I focused on gift design for my mentor, Ashland, by exploring the relationship between the gift and the packaging that contains that gift.
